COLD day

Like I said in my entry yesterday, I expected to get up to everything covered in snow today. Instead, there was no snow; in fact, when I got up, I saw the sun peeping through the clouds. By the time I was ready to leave the apartment, the sun was up and shining!

However…it was snowing ever so slightly and it was COLD!! I think it was like -2C. It felt weird to see the sun up but feeling so cold!

Carolijn and I left the office at around 12.15 to head to my meeting. She was accompanying me as I didn’t know the place. We grabbed lunch on the way. It was horribly cold despite the sun being out; and we had to walk quite a bit!! God…it’s as though the worse days of winter is coming back to say goodbye to me! Lol!

I missed the human rights cinema show today as I was working on a pre-project description with Claudia. They played Tobacco Girl, a short documentary on the life of a 14 year old child worker in Turkmenistan I think. Sounds interesting from the write up I read online. If the video’s online, I’ll watch it.

So I have officially canceled my trip to London. I told Jemimah; and also since I was suddenly asked to do some research to gather background information for a potential case, I guess it’s better I spend time doing that. Am a bit disappointed but it just means that I will have more money to spend here or take home! :D I’m sure there is a reason why I’m not going, so I’m just going to accept it. No point sulking or being unhappy, especially during my last two weeks here.

I’ve been watching bloopers on line these last few days. They are just soooooooo funny. Then there are the Cosby Show episodes that are sooo hilarious! It’s so nice to be able to watch these old shows and still be able to laugh! :D

Sighs….it’s Freitag again in a couple of hours! My my my…another weekend is approaching. This weekend is exciting however. I’ll be visiting a concentration camp! Can’t wait!

Unknowingly your need to watch the bloopers and The Cosby reruns are helping you to feel good.

It's said that we should drown ourselves in laughter when we need a pick me up.
